Vegetable biriani

2 tblsp oil
1 large Onion (Diced)
2 cloves garlic (crushed)
half tspn Ground Cinnamon
2 tspn Cumin
half tspn Ground Ginger
450 mil water
1 large Carrot (Diced)
225 gm Long Grain Rice
75gm Raisins
250 gm Sliced Runner Beans or French Beans,
(fresh of frozen)
175 g Frozen Peas

Heat the oil in a large saucepan, Add Onion and Garlic fry gently for about 4-5 mins until onion is soft but not brown,
Add Spices to the pan, stir well and cook for a further 2-3 mins.
Add the tomato puree, rice, raisins last but not least add green beans, gently mix well turn up the heat then add the water, bring to the boil and simmer for about 20 mins add peas and simmer for a further 5 mins taste and adjust seasoning.
