Sticky Toffee Pudding

Ingredients:
100 gm Dates (Soaked And Diced)
100 ml Water (Boiling Water)
Pudding:
50 gm Marg/Butter
75 gm Caster Sugar
100 gm Self Raising Flour
Half Teaspoon Bicarb of Soda
1 Egg
1 Tablespoon Golden Syrup
50 ml Milk
Toffee Sauce:
45 gm Caster Sugar
15 gm Marg/Butter
50 ml Single Cream

Method: Soak Dates in Boiling Water and set aside, Grease your oven proof dish. Cream marg/butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, gradually add the eggs. Fold in the syrup, milk, flour and bicarb of soda, Crush dates using the back of a fork, fold dates into the sticky toffee mix. Pour mix into your oven proof dish, level off and place in preheated oven 160c for 50-60 mins. Place marg/butter,sugar and half the cream into a saucepan, bring to the boil, mixing well then mix in remaining kid. Remove  pudding from oven and allow to rest for 5 mins, Cut into even portions and drizzle with toffee sauce.

Dust with icing sugar for great presentation.
