Pork And Apple Burgers

Ingredients:
350 gm Lean Pork Mince
1 Onion (Finely Diced)
1 Cooking Apple (Peeled & Cored and Grated)
2 Teaspoons Sage Fresh or Dried
Salt And Pepper
3 Tablespoon Plain Flour
1 Egg
4 Rashers Streaky Bacon

Method:

Mix the Minced Pork, onion, grated apple and sage together in a bowl Season well with salt and pepper. Using a fork stir in the flour and a little of the beaten egg to hold the mixture together. cover with cling film and place in fridge for about 2 hours. Place a sheet of cling film on your worktop and lightly flour your hands, and form the mixture into 4 round flat cakes as such. place another sheet of cling film over the top of the first now you can shape to your desired shape and size. Fry the bacon in a pan and remove and place on kitchen roll to drain off any excess fat, add your pork burgers to same pan and fry the burger off approx 3-4 mins each side, lower the heat then cook gently for about 5 mins. Transfer the burgers with a slice , to a warmed plate top each with a piece of streaky bacon and serve.
