Homemade Bread Roll’s

Ingredients:

  • 500 gm “Strong” Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Yeast
  • 30 gm Butter
  • 75 mil Luke Warm milk
  • 200 mil Luke warm water

Method:
In a clean Bowl sift flour, salt, add butter and yeast .
Rub the softened butter into the flour mixture until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
Add milk and water ensuring they are at room temp and mix until combined,forming a dough.
Now here is the bit that takes a little patience the dough needs to be kneaded for at least 15-20 mins(working the mix constantly with the palm of your hand as the work horse)
this can be done with 2 people 1 person does the first 10 min’s etc.
In a clean slightly floured bowl rest the dough for at least 90 min’s minimum.
Now the dough has doubled in size knock the air out of it, personally i think it is a good idea to weigh the dough then divide by 8 = the amount each roll would weigh divide  the dough equally onto a clean grease proofed  tray ensuring there is sufficent space between each roll.
Place in a preheated oven at 210c for approx 10-15 min’s.
remove from oven and allow to cool.
