Homemade Brandy Sauce

Ptn Size : 500 ml

Brandy Sauce is a sweet, rich dessert Sauce made by milk thickened with cornflour with rum, brandy, whiskey, sherry, vanilla or other flavorings. It is served hot, often with hot Christmas pudding.


500 ml Milk
25 gm Sugar
25 g Cornflour
50 ml Brandy


1. Mix the cornflour and sugar with a little of the milk into a smooth paste.

2. Bring to the boil the remainder of the milk,( pour in the paste, whisking or stirring constantly.

3. Return to the saucepan, stir to the boil and simmer for 4 minutes.

4. Add the brandy mix well and serve.
