French Onion Soup

  • 700g Onions (Sliced)
  • 15g Veg Stock
  • Dash Worcester Sauce
  • 10gm Brown Sugar(Demerara)
  • 1.5 ltr Water
  • Salt And Pepper To Taste


Heat a dash of oil in a saucepan,add onions and slowly cook for 10 mins (until brown in colour).
add brown sugar and worcester sauce, then stir in the stock add the water then bring to the boil.
Turn down the heat and simmer for upto 25-30 mins.Taste and add salt and pepper.

Toast a slice of bread 1 side then add cheese grill till golden brown, then cut into required portions
and place on top of the soup and serve
