Cauliflower Cheese

Cauliflower cheese, is a traditional English dish. It can be eaten as a main course, for lunch or dinner, or as a side dish.

Portion Size: 4-6


1 kg Cauliflower
250 ml Cheese sauce
100 gm Cheddar Cheese (grated)
Salt & Pepper


1. Trim the cauliflower of excessive green stalks. Trim the stems and cut a cross in the base with a knife then soak for 10 minutes in salted water and wash thoroughly.
2. Place the cauliflower florets into boiling salted water, cover it with a lid and simmer until tender (approx 10 mins) lift a piece out to test, then drain it thoroughly and place it in a oven proof Dish.
3. Add the cheese sauce pouring over the top, mask the cauliflower with grated cheese and place in a preheated oven 180c for 20 mins until bubbling and golden brown on top and serve.
